In 2020, Joe Biden received 81,283,501 votes. Many of those voters hadn’t voted before and some of them haven’t voted since. How to bring those voters back into the fold and earn their vote for Democratic candidates year over year is a problem worth solving. LGMPac plans to do just that, through a concerted effort to communicate directly with the Democrats who feel left behind by the party and who, too often, the party doesn’t connect with.
LGMPac was founded in early 2026 out of a discussion of what went wrong in the 2024 election and, more broadly, what the current Democratic campaign apparatus does well and where it falls short. Each member of the founding team has worked on dozens of campaigns and has seen what works and, perhaps more importantly, where Democrats repeat the same mistakes for a variety of reasons. In addition to our partisan leanings and ideology we are brought together by a common belief that when we see a problem and think we know how to fix it we are obligated to put in the effort.
LGMPac believes that the tendency of the consultant class and Democratic leadership to embrace centrism in hopes of appeasing independent voters is well intentioned but misses the broader picture of how this impacts campaigns, elected officials, the broader Democratic movement. Republicans have shown that strident, even obsessive, commitment to ideology and values is often more respected by voters than well-reasoned centrism, which can often read as lacking principles or vision.
This strategy also means that there are millions of Democratically aligned voters who are left behind cycle after cycle. These are people who share Democratic values and have a real need for Democratic leadership but are often ignored, sometimes due to lack of resources, by candidates and by the party in general.
The 2024 election is emblematic of this problem as the Harris campaign failed to reach those
middle-ground voters and simultaneously did not reach these voters who felt ignored by the party. The result was that many of these Democratic voters stayed home.
LGMPac is committed to reengaging Democratic voters who dropped off between the 2020 and 2024 election and building the infrastructure that will not only win elections but hold our own elected officials accountable to their promises. Winning back these voters is the key to building a winning movement that creates concrete change to benefit everyone.
